The attorneys at Robert Brown LLC help employers across the United States prepare EB-1 visas for workers. You will need to consult with a lawyer who will help you complete your application correctly and in a timely manner.
Groups of Priority Workers
There are three groups of priority workers that qualify for EB-1 visas:
- Persons of extraordinary ability: Non U.S. citizens who can demonstrate that they have "extraordinary ability in the sciences, art, education, business or athletics, which has been demonstrated by sustained national or international acclaim and whose achievements have been recognized in the field through extensive documentation."
- Outstanding professors and researchers: To qualify for this category, the applicant must be internationally recognized as outstanding in an academic area. He or she must have at least three years of experience teaching or researching in that area. The professor or researcher must be entering the U.S. in a tenure teaching or researching position as an institution of higher learning, or at a private company with documented accomplishments in an academic field.
- Multinational executives and managers: Executives and managers of multinational corporations are also eligible for permanent residency as priority workers. In order to qualify under this category, the applicant must be entering the U.S. to work in a managerial or executive capacity and must have worked abroad in the same capacity for the same company for at least one year prior. The employer must conduct business in the U.S. and at least one other country.
