Founding attorney Robert Brown's professional experience with immigration issues dates back to the 1970s, when he joined the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) as a New York-based Special Agent. He later became Deputy Chief of Investigations at the INS headquarters in Washington, where he played a leading role in the development of the agency's I-9 employer compliance and audit procedures. Mr. Brown eventually rose to the position of INS District Director in Cleveland.
This experience has benefited current business, family and individual clients of our firm since 2002. Because we provide immigration counsel across the full spectrum of client needs, we can often identify successful solutions to complex or novel immigration problems that might not be apparent in a more narrowly-focused practice.
Robert Brown LLC works with business and tourist visitors on B-1 and B-2 visa issues, F-1 student visa applicants, and the full range of employment-based and family-based visa needs. Our work involves both temporary nonimmigrant visas and applications for permanent residency, whether or not the prospective green card holder aspires to eventual U.S. citizenship.
Our lawyers also advise clients about waivers of inadmissibility, adjustment of status, consular processing, defense and cancellation of removal proceedings, and the U.S. naturalization process.
