What is I-9?
American companies regularly hire foreign nationals, but the Department of Labor and USCIS require employers to verify the employee’s eligibility to work in the U.S. using form I-9. Employers must complete an I-9 form for every worker — citizen and non-citizen — hired since November 1986.
