Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson has redesignated South Sudan
for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and extended the existing TPS designation
from May 3, 2016, through November 2, 2017.
Due to the ongoing armed conflict and current conditions, those who already
have TPS may extend their current status. Those who do not currently have
TPS, but are nationals of South Sudan, or those who last resided there,
may apply for TPS so long as they resided in the United States before
January 25, 2016 and pass the required background security checks.
TPS extension and registration can be done between January 25 through July
25 of 2016. If you believe your are eligible for TPS, or have any questions
regarding your eligibility, contact the attorneys at Robert Brown LLC
