Senior Attorney Mauricio Jimenez received his Juris Doctorate from the Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, and is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mauricio brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Brown Immigration Law and has extensive experience practicing before the Immigration Court, United States Citizenship and Immigration Service, Circuit Court of Appeals, and Enforcement and Removal Operations.
Prior to joining Brown Immigration Law, Attorney Jimenez practiced as a Senior Attorney in Los Angeles, California with a high-volume nationwide immigration law firm representing clients in appellate work, removal defense, family-based immigration, and waivers of inadmissibility. Prior to that, he worked for four years with a high-volume and well-respected boutique immigration law firm in Orlando, Florida. Early in his career, Mauricio practiced as a student attorney with the Department of Homeland Security Immigration Customs and Enforcement, located in Orlando, Florida, and the Crown Prosecution Service in London, England.
Attorney Jimenez was born in Medellin, Colombia, and arrived to the United States as a young child. As an immigrant himself, he developed a passion for serving the immigrant community as he witnessed his family endure the uncertainty, stress, and expense that coincides with the road to acquiring status in the United States. He draws heavily from his family history and personal experience as the foundation of his practice and dedication to the defense of immigrants.
