As of February 20, 2011, Part 6 – the Export Control Attestation – on the Petition for a Non-Immigrant Worker Form I-129 must be completed by all employers. This section certifies the release of controlled technology or data to foreign persons in the United States.

Form I-129 is used for visa classifications such as H, L, and E.
